Chile, September 1973: Pinochet's coup d'état

The morgue fills with bodies, piled on top of each other, among them the autopsy of Salvador Allende will be performed regularly typed by Mario Corneljo, a state official who hints at an, albeit unconscious, ideological affiliation in favor of the military coup.

His only interest is a cabaret dancer, Nancy Puelmas, ideologically estranged from the political situation, who sees Mario as her only instinctive means of survival.

This very thing will lead him to also become a torturer in a condition of socio-historical-political alienation that will last about 20 years

After TONY MANERO, Pablo Larrain succeeds in constructing another masterful film about the futility of some lives, unwitting victims and executioners, alienated from a cruel reality that is completely foreign.

The final scene is sublime.

Disturbing, unmissable, absolutely unique and extraordinary.
