The attempt to understand animals begins with the first scene of the film, where a man, who turns out to be a philosopher, tries to understand why his chicken does not sing.

The succession of seasons and the end of winter should mark the transition to spring, and the town’s festival will see the ritual of dancing, mulled wine, honey, and hot milk, but it will not witness the traditional bonfire and thus cannot declare the expulsion of the cold season.

Uncle Winter is accused of many crimes: laziness, arrogance, vagrancy, but there will be no way to dispose of him by burning him.

Spring will not see the birth of any buds, the bees will not produce honey, and the cows will not provide milk.

Is it better to be the man of paradox or of prejudice? One must avoid the inevitable; but will men be able to understand it?

In summer, it snows, flowers of hope must be bought, trees fall, and fish die.

In autumn, violence is all that remains.

A film on the border between documentary and video art: a cruel image of how nature tries to redeem itself in front of the common man, while the philosopher will be burned by prejudice like Giordano Bruno.

Nature does not keep its promises and a scapegoat must be found.

An excellent contemporary art operation made of still, hostile, and silent images infused with anthropological mappings.

"You must have chaos within to give birth to a dancing star," Nietzsche’s famous quote, will be the only predictable citation, the only commercial look at an unusual and extremely refined film.

A great cinematic installation.
