Ivan Locke is driving his car.
On his cell phone, he informs his company that tomorrow, when one of the most important projects of his life will begin to take shape, he will not be able to be on-site. For this, he will be fired. This communication does not deter him from giving instructions on how to proceed with the work, as his sense of responsibility haunts him. The same responsibility drives him to London, risking putting his family life in crisis.
'85 adrenaline-filled minutes, at night, in the car, on the phone.
Ivan, with the surname of an illustrious philosopher and founder of empiricism, seems to embody the ethical value of responsibility, a profound pragmatism, and a rational ability to control the situation characteristic of a great thinker.
Despite life throwing an unpleasant surprise his way, he does not waver from upholding his values and does not succumb to false flattery and sentimentality.
A brief journey into the life of an extremely calculated and rational man, but not insensitive or entirely immune to the deceptive games of existence.
Very interesting.
